COVID-19 Coronavirus developments

March 21, 2020

Dear Truelight Family,

The Psalmist wrote, “God is our place of safety. He gives us strength. He is always there to help us in times of trouble.”

As protecting the health and well-being of our members and the community is our top priority, the Truelight Board of Directors is actively monitoring the COVID-19 Coronavirus developments. In keeping with the guidance of our local government and health officials, the Board of Directors has made the prayerful, yet difficult decision to suspend all face to face church services until further notice.

That said, it’s good to know that we serve a God who always has a ram in the bush. Pre-recorded Sunday morning worship services will be available via Truelight’s Facebook page starting this Sunday March 22nd.  Additionally, we will launch Truelight’s YouTube station Sunday, March 29th (with details forthcoming) and for those who continue to thirst for the word, we will live stream Bible Study via WebEx beginning Friday March 27th with both video and call in options. This tool will also be made available for our Wednesday afternoon Bible Study with the launch date to be determined.

All planned activities for the 110th Church Anniversary Celebration which would typically take place during the month of April have been rescheduled and will be held in conjunction with our Friends and Family Homecoming celebration during the month of October.

As your continued support of the work of the church and it’s ministry is greatly appreciated, please feel free to use our on line giving method at www.truelight-estl.com and click on the donate tab or mail your donations directly to the church.

We will use this time away to ensure that the church undergoes a deep cleaning and rest assured that our staff will continue to actively work remotely to support the ministry. If you need assistance, please feel free to call the church at 618-874-0812 and your call will be returned.

Remember to always, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

God Bless & Keep You All!
